Vintage 1966 Remco Lost In Space Robot With Original Box Red/Black Version. Here is a vintage battery operated Remco Lost in Space Robot with original box. The robot is complete with battery bar, and I did put batteries in him, he started up with light in chest blinking, but he did not move. I took the cover off underneath the base and found the rubber drive wheel that the electric motor drives had become dry rotted and was no longer turning.

I believe you could go to a hardware store find a large rubber washer and replace it and it would work fine. There is a crack in the red body on the right side of robot and I have taken a picture of this and it can be seen in the 9th picture. There is also a very small triangle crack in the red plastic on the chest between the two clear pieces, and this can be seen in the 8th picture.

The original instructions are here, but they are torn in half and have creases, tears, and holes in them. I had a clean instruction sheet years ago and had made some xerox copies of it, so I will include a clean xerox instruction sheet as well. The box is beautiful and solid with nice bright colors and graphics. Because grading is subjective to each individual I generally do not assign any condition grades to items.
