Vtg Mattel SPACE 1999 EAGLE 1 SPACE SHIP 95% Complete Whiteness Restored #205

Restored Mattel Space 1999 Eagle One. Yellowing is 95% gone as I have learned how to whiten the aged plastic without hurting the toy. It takes us about 3-4 weeks to restore the Eagle 1 to the way it was when the box was opened in 1976.

There are (2) spots on this Eagle where the yellowed glue still shows through as shown in the photos. Body was disassembled, whitened and "new custom replacement stickers" were applied to make this Eagle come alive. We used custom made replacement parts for this Eagle to include : All the side thrusters, (4) rear rocket engines, (4) small bottom rocket engines, winch/crane hook, (3) stun guns, and (3) astronaut backpacks. The side thrusters are injection molded and the laser rifle is original. All other parts are original like the (2) chairs, weapons rack, escape hatch, winch/crane, & command module hatch.

You also receive the 3 astronauts with backpacks and only (2) helmets. We also added custom make belts for the figures that will hold the Commlocks and stun guns as shown in the photos.

We also include the Custom Printed faux Interior Bulkheads with this Eagle 1 (as shown in the photos). We disclose what's missing or broken. The pins on the doors are gone. This is common and the doors can close or stay in the open position. There is a crack in the floor near the winch/crane that has been glued. There are (2) small cracks on the rear red engine mount. You might be able to see them in the photos. There's a carpet fiber in the rear engine photo. This might come with the model.

The weapons rack and the winch/crane have only 1 tab to hold the part in place. So we glued them in place along with the escape hatch. The hole in the floor where the escape hatch goes into was enlarged slightly.

Many hours of love went into making this toy as good as the day it was bought. AS IS, this is a GREAT DISPLAY PIECE with issues described above in our disclosure that will not impact it as you are going to display it. No one will ever spot these cosmetic issues. Look at the feedback from our restored Eagle One buyers. Each one of our restored Eagles are slightly different.
