Buck Rogers Xz 38 Disintegrator Space Ray Gun Vintage 1936 USA Toy Daisy Mfg

Made in Plymouth, MI, USA. 10 L x 6 H x 1-1.5 W (See pics). This is a detailed replica of the Buck Rogers space ray gun made for children of privilege in the Depression Era so most kids of the time period never had one of these making this a VERY RARE find!

Its a CHILDS TOY and was never designed to expel any projectile of any type whether by air, CO2, or explosive and cannot be readily modified to do so. No chamber, no slide, no firing pin, and no loading mechanism (since Ive had a few questions regarding this). It was literally a childs toy that made a popping sound when you pulled the trigger. Trigger pulls (no sound) and handle springs back and forth.

Image of Buck Rogers engraved on handle (See pics). Condition: RAY GUN looks good visually barring some superficial rust. Im not willing to risk damaging the item by using cleaners or even fine sandpaper to remove the small rust spots.

Other than the rust, the ray gun is not damaged or missing any pieces so thats really nice considering it was a childs toy and almost a century old! Also worth noting is that I cant get it to make the popping sound so maybe it needs some adjustment or tinkering and that should be noted since its part of the novelty of the toy.
