The image shows the original box for the Moon Traveler Apollo-Z, a vintage battery-operated tin and plastic toy manufactured in Japan by Nomura also known as T. N during the late 1960s. This toy is a highly sought-after collectible from the "Golden Age" of Japanese tin space toys. As detailed on the box, the toy features a "Mystery Action" mechanism. It includes blinking lights and a simulated "jet sound" during operation.
The spaceship is primarily made of lithographed tin plate with a plastic nose cone and base. Inside the cockpit, three embossed tin astronauts are typically visible. It requires two "D" cell batteries to operate. Note: Lights up; is NOT fully functional; See Photos.
