Bottom is held on by screws; I didn't attempt to fix it as this isn't my specialty. Uses 2 D batteries (not included); they fit incredibly tightly (I had to use a flathead screwdriver to help slide the first one out). Space capsule has some pitting on the nose and the metal battery prong has detached (a dot of super glue can fix it, or simply lay it in place before closing the door as I did); Styrofoam disc has a split, and paper astronaut has wear; box has wear (see pictures). The astronaut kind of blows out into space because of the split in the disc, which is why my hand is in the picture to keep him from blowing into space, lol (last two pics show blower in action). The item "Masudaya SPACE CAPSULE with FLOATING ASTRONAUT withBOX vintage 60s" is in sale since Monday, March 4, 2019.
