Vintage 1960s Horikawa NASA SPACE CAPSULE Tin Litho Battery Operated Toy

5This 60-year-old vintage Horikawa NASA SPACE CAPSULE is a fantastic find. Mostly in good condition, it does have a few scrapes and dents that come from years of play and storage, but nothing that detracts from it as an incredible display toy. The capsule doors don't want to stay closed - looks like some old scotch tape used to hold them.

And a quick battery test did not provide any power, but the battery compartment is very clean - never any corrosion. It's about 9.5" long and 5" tall when closed. The colos are all still bright, and the plastic nose cone and windows are fully intact. Horikawa was one of the most popular manufacturers of battery operated Japanese toys, founded in 1969.

This space capsule was most likely made in the mid-1960's, and it has the triangle SH logo on the back. Feel free to message me with any questions.
