Vintage 1962 PARK'S PROJECT MERCURY Water Rocket # 510 w Friendship Capsule NMIB

Offering this rare entity within the PARK PLASTICS line of Water Rockets. This early 1960s PROJECT MERCURY comes in a pretty stunning package. The set pays tribute to John Glenn's historic flight, as the first American to orbit the earth on February 20, 1962. Glenn dubbed the capsule Friendship 7 to honor the 7 astronauts selected for the Mercury program. This set is beautiful but the box does have some mild wear, as it is over 60 years old.
