Vintage 1984 LEGO 6971 Inter-Galactic Command Base with Instructions and Box

LEGO 6971 Inter-Galactic Command Base from 1984. Please look at all photos carefully. There were a couple piece substitutions made due to color. One is a 1x10 blue plate for a grey one. 1 blue 1x2 modified blue plate for a grey one. Of note, two of the blue "train windows" on the base as part of the lower rocket hanger, the inside of the frame was shaved down. It has no effect of the exterior finish. The Instructions are good other than the center page has come out of the stapling. The "Box" is not together. The large artwork on front and back lid are good as well as bottom art. One side flap is present but torn off. It could make a nice display with a support box underneath. I try to describe these 40 year old Lego sets as best I can. They were mine as a child and have been well cared for since new. Everything will be packed with care.
