Vintage 1984 LJN Toys VOLTRON Lion Force SPINOUT IN SPACE Slot Car Racing Set. Testing was performed using both cars, both controllers and both sides of the track. The plastic tails are in place and there is no broken plastic. They could use some detail cleaning to get the dust out of the cracks and crevices.

I had to run sand paper over the track conductors so the cars make contact, the cars make contact and move but more detail work will need to be done to eliminate some dead spots. Comes with 4 Guardrails, no broken plastic, the stickers are starting to curl and I suspect the glue is drying out. Comes with 5 Red ramps/track aprons, they do have some staining on them. 1 apron has a small section of plastic stress (white), 1 apron is missing 3 of 5 clips that hold it to the blue track pieces.

Comes with 1 Power Supply, the power supply label says LJN TOYS LTD. I suspect this set needs two power supplies as there is 2 inputs on the track and only one lane of the track operates depending on where it is plugged in. Comes with one Yellow and one Red Lion Slot Car. Both are in Good condition. Both have the tails in place.

Both could use some detail work to clean the dust from the cracks and crevices. They are in used condition.

The eyes on both glow white when operating. Some paint lost and other wear for a vintage slot car. Both are tested and working.

Comes with 5 yellow track supports, no damage. Comes with track to make a complete racing circuit.

Comes with 4 straight unpowered sections, the tracks will need detail work to clean the slots, the conductors do have corrosion, I had to use sand paper to get the track to work and I suspect more work will be needed to eliminate dead spots. The track pieces show staining, this staining did not come off with casual attempts to clean. The tracks do show significant plastic fatigue at the tabs. One (1) 15 section, Two (2) 9 sections, and one (1) 6 section. Comes with 10 9 Radius 90 Degree Curve tracks, the tracks will need detail work to clean the slots, the conductors do have corrosion, I had to use sand paper to get the track to work and I suspect more work will be needed to eliminate dead spots.

The track pieces show staining; this staining did not come off with casual attempts to clean, the staining could be permanent. One track is missing two tabs. One track is missing one tab, One track has a damaged tab, One track has a 3 crack on the outer edge but is still intact. Comes with one (1) 9 Straight Terminal Section.

There is corrosion and plastic fatigue at the tabs. Please note that this set is old and does not function or look brand new. Special Note About the Hand Held Speed Controllers.

The hand held controller is designed with a spring that is under tension pretty much all the time, under tension when the trigger is pressed, and under tension when the trigger isnt pressed. The problem is that the spring is held onto a plastic post. With most plastics they become brittle and break, that has happened here. On both controllers, the post has broken and has been repaired. The Red Controller has been repaired with super glue. The Yellow Controller has been repaired by using the original screw in what is left of the post. Problem with that repair is the screw protrudes on the outside of the controller ever so slightly (see the pictures).
