WE ARE INCLUDING THE STAR TREK 3 BOOK by JAMES BLISH AT NO CHARGE TO YOU!! The 1967 Star Trek Board Game by. Is the first-ever licensed Star Trek board game and the only one produced during the run of The Original Series.

It challenges players to complete a space mission by racing to a destination and successfully returning to Earth. Objective: Players are dealt a secret card dictating a sequence of three planetary destinations to visit. Once the missions are complete, the first player to race back to Earth wins. Movement: Players navigate a solar system consisting of Earth and six planets named after Greek letters by playing numbered fuel cards.

Fuel Management: Players move horizontally and vertically according to their fuel cards. Landing on a planet allows the player to draw three new fuel cards, while running out of fuel limits a player to just one space per turn.

As a rare piece of pop-culture history, it is a highly sought-after vintage collectible. Star Trek 3 by James Blish is a 1969 sci-fi paperback anthology that adapts seven classic episodes from the original Star Trek television series into short stories. It offers fans a unique, literary look at the USS Enterprise crew's encounters with alien worlds, dangerous cosmic entities, and complex moral dilemmas. The collection features novelizations of the following classic episodes.

The Trouble with Tribbles: A fun, chaotic tale in which the Enterprise crew is overwhelmed by small, fast-breeding, furry creatures that threaten a grain supply. Spectre of the Gun: An eerie encounter on a killer planet where time and place are dictated by telepathy, trapping Captain Kirk and crew in a deadly shootout at the O. The Doomsday Machine: A tense story featuring a monstrous, planet-destroying robotic device and a Commodore driven to the brink of madness. Assignment: Earth: A temporal mission that transports the crew to 1960s Earth to prevent an alien agent from accidentally triggering World War III.

Mirror, Mirror: An alternate-universe adventure where Kirk and a landing party are trapped in a brutal, malevolent version of the Federation. Friday's Child: A tense political thriller on the planet Capella IV, involving Klingon interference and the survival of a pregnant high-priestess. Amok Time: A landmark story taking the crew to Vulcan, where Spock must undergo his deadly mating cycle (Pon Farr) and fights Captain Kirk to the death. Because Blish based his adaptations on original, early draft scripts-rather than the final filmed episodes-the book contains several fascinating deviations from the televised show.

For example, in the short story adaptation of "The Doomsday Machine, " Commodore Decker's first name is Brand instead of Matt, and he does not sacrifice himself flying a shuttlecraft into the planet-killer.
