Vintage Mattel Dream Car Friction Powered Space Age Toy Car Black Gold Works

Up for sale is a vintage Mattel Dream Car featuring its iconic futuristic Space Age styling with a black body, gold-tone side fins, and red interior. The original friction-powered flywheel mechanism has been tested.

The internal flywheel spins and produces the characteristic whirring sound when the car is rolled. The car rolls freely and operates similarly to other original examples. Original friction-powered flywheel mechanism tested. Internal flywheel spins and produces the original whirring sound. Body has been previously repaired with glue (see photos).

Textured surface discoloration/residue is present on the top of the body and extends onto one gold-tone fin. It appears to be from long-term storage against another object and is cosmetic only.

Gold-tone trim has not been polished and retains its original patina. Shows normal scratches and wear consistent with age and play.

This is an original vintage Mattel toy that displays well and would make an excellent addition to a collection. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description and show the exact item you will receive. Black body with gold-tone fins.
