Vtg LEGO Technic 8480 Exploration Space Shuttle (1996) 95% Complete + Manual

I have pre-built the set to verify level of completion. The set appears to be missing 3 pieces and 9 bands: (2) black triangle lift arms + (1) gray driving ring + (7) red bands + (2) white belt bands.

The stickers have been applied and all appear to be present. The original manual is in well preserved condition. All of the electronic parts are present, including the fiber optic pieces, but I wasn't sure how to make it all work.

The shielding material on the cables has sadly deteriorated due to age. Someone more knowledgeable than me might be able to figure it out.
