Vtg Mattel SPACE 1999 EAGLE 1 SPACE SHIP 95% Complete Whiteness Restored #204
Restored Mattel Space 1999 Eagle One. Yellowing is 95% gone as I have learned how to whiten the aged plastic without hurting the toy. It takes us about 3-4 weeks to restore the Eagle 1 to the way it was when the box was opened in 1976.
Body was disassembled, whitened and "new custom stickers" were applied to make the Eagle come alive. We used custom made replacement parts for this Eagle to include : All the side thrusters, the laser rifle (4) small bottom rocket engines, winch crane & hook, (2) stun guns, the white command module hatch and (2) astronaut backpacks (one is original).The side thrusters are injection molded and the laser rifle is a cast resin item that's custom painted to match the original. All other parts are original. We took this Mattel Eagle 1 a step further in this restoration by painting the rear rocket engines and engine mount.
This comes closer to the original Eagle 1 in the TV series along with a customized command module white hatch. You also receive the 3 astronauts with backpacks and helmets.
Two of the three backpacks are reproductions and its hard to tell which one is original in the photos. When we took the original photos, the repro backpacks were not yet made. A photo shows all 3 figures with the backpacks which you will receive.
We also include the faux Interior Bulkheads with this Eagle 1 (as shown in the photos). We disclose what's missing or broken. Missing (2) stun guns as the toy came with 4 of them. Both side doors have their original pins.
